Best things about being a Kindergarten teacher:

Meeting all of my students and getting to know each and every one of them. Showing them that learning can be lots of fun! Watching them grow and learn new things each and every day!

We are going to have the BEST YEAR EVER!!!!

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hello!

My name is Mrs. Rochelle Bauder and I am so excited to be your child's new teacher

this year! I cannot wait to meet everyone and share my classroom with all of my new students! The school year ahead of us promises to be a fantastic one!

This is my 8th year at Parkway Manor, and my 6th year teaching Kindergarten. I love it! It has been a wonderful experience from the start. I began my journey here as a student teacher in spring 2012 and then worked as a learning support paraprofessional for two years. I am honored to work along side of so many amazing, talented, and hard-working educators, students, and their families within the Parkland School District.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Philadelphia University (the former

Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science) in 1995 and worked for nearly 15

years in the fashion industry in NYC. While it certainly was an exciting career and I gained a great deal of professional experience, I always knew something was missing. I think coming from a large loving family made me miss being around children. I craved being in an environment where I knew I could make a difference.

My love of children and passion for watching them grow and develop their own love of learning made going back to school for education a very easy decision for me to make. In 2012, I graduated from Cedar Crest College with my Master’s degree in Education and am positively over the moon to be able to pursue my passion for teaching and working with children.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Josh and our two furry canine children: Vivi, Max and Gwinnie. We especially love vacationing at the Delaware beaches where we can spend time with family, ride our bikes, take long walks with our dogs, and simply relax. We also enjoy having our families and friends over to our house for frequent gatherings - especially ones that allow us to stretch our culinary muscles. Both Josh and I are avid cooks and always get a kick out of trying new recipes!

Nothing is more exciting to me, however, than to have the opportunity to teach your child this year. I look forward to working together to make sure that he/she achieves success at all levels and has lots of fun getting there. I know that the "Power of Three" (the student, parent, and teacher dynamic) is the key to a successful academic experience. I employ an open-door communication policy and encourage you to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have at any time.

I cannot wait to begin working with your child and know that we are going to have

an amazing year of growing, learning, and experiencing new things together. It

will surely be a year to remember!

Warmest Regards,

Mrs. Bauder
